June 2026 CPI (Combined) YoY = 4.38% provisional (rural 4.74%, urban 3.92%); combined index 107.00; food (CFPI) 5.32%; housing 2.10%. Series is on the NEW base 2024=100 — MoSPI rebased from 2012=100 with the January 2026 data release, so values are not comparable with the old-base series. Figures are provisional at first release and finalised the following month (May 2026 finalised at 3.93%, index 105.91). Releases land ~12th/13th of the following month; July 2026 data due 2026-08-12. Access quirks (load-bearing): mospi.gov.in, cpi.mospi.gov.in and esankhyiki.mospi.gov.in refuse TCP connections from non-Indian IPs (ECONNREFUSED) and pib.gov.in HTML returns 403, so the cited canonical PDF could not be pulled directly from our environment; the official May 2026 release PDF WAS loaded in full via the PIB mirror (static.pib.gov.in/WriteReadData/specificdocs/documents/2026/jun/doc2026612891101.pdf — serves official PDFs without blocking, confirming April final 3.48 and May provisional 3.93), and the June figures were verified verbatim against the search-indexed text of the cited MoSPI PDF (embargo line '4:00 PM of 13th July, 2026') plus the PIB release (PRID 2284125) and multiple independent reproductions.
