CORRECTION TO THE BRIEF ON TWO POINTS. (1) The annual transfer instrument is a PRESIDENTIAL decree (Указ Президента № УП-257 от 24.12.2025), not a Cabinet of Ministers decree — the 2025 edition was a presidential resolution (ПП-452), which УП-257 repeals; a source-watcher pointed at the Cabinet's acts will miss it. (2) 9 May is «Xotira va qadrlash kuni» — Day of Remembrance and HONOUR, not simply 'Day of Remembrance'. WEEKEND RULE (Labour Code art. 208): «При совпадении выходного дня с праздничным нерабочим днем выходной день переносится на рабочий день, следующий после праздничного нерабочего дня» — the REST DAY moves to the first working day after the holiday; the holiday itself does not move, and no transfer is made where production is continuous or cannot be interrupted. Three automatic transfers apply in 2026, all confirmed in УП-257: 8 Mar (Sun) → Mon 9 Mar; 21 Mar (Sat) → Mon 23 Mar; 9 May (Sat) → Mon 11 May. Separately, УП-257 exercises the discretionary bridging power: 2 Jan, 28 May, 29 May and 31 Aug are additional non-working days for ALL workers; 3 Jan, 30 May and 31 Dec for six-day-week workers only; and for five-day-week workers the Saturday 12 December rest day is moved to Thursday 31 December (so 12 December is a working Saturday). Resulting blocks per the government working-time calendar (my.gov.uz/ru/day-off): 1–4 Jan, 7–9 Mar, 20–23 Mar, 9–11 May, 27–31 May, 29 Aug–1 Sep; the year totals 248 working days, 117 rest days, 17 holiday days, 1,979 working hours. ISLAMIC DATES — how they become official: Article 208 names the first day of Ramazon hayit and the first day of Qurbon hayit without dates; the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan (Ўзбекистон мусулмонлари идораси) determines them and the President then issues a separate proclamation. For 2026, president.uz published «О праздновании священного Рамазан хайита» on 18 March 2026 accepting the Board's notification that the first day fell on 20 MARCH 2026 (https://president.uz/ru/lists/view/9019) — that is an official confirmation, not a projection. Qurbon hayit 27 May 2026 is carried as the first day by the government working-time calendar and is corroborated structurally by УП-257, which grants 28 and 29 May as the follow-on rest days; it is nonetheless the date that a 2027 rebuild must re-verify against the Muslim Board. Note that in 2026 Ramazon hayit (Fri 20 Mar) lands immediately before Navruz (Sat 21 Mar) — the two festivals collide, which is why the March block is only four days despite containing two holidays. ACCESS NOTE: lex.uz truncates the Labour Code (a single-page render of the whole code) before Article 208, so the article's full nine-item list could not be read directly from lex.uz; the holiday names and the transfer rule here are taken from УП-257, which quotes art. 208 and names the affected holidays, cross-checked against the government working-time calendar at my.gov.uz/ru/day-off. Every weekday assignment above was recomputed from the calendar and matches УП-257. 2027 NOT SERVED - HELD (2026-07-30). Uzbekistan's Labour Code (30 April 2023) art. 208 lists seven fixed non-working holidays - 1 January, 8 March, Navruz on 21 March, 9 May, 1 September, 1 October and 8 December - but also the first day of Ramazon Hayit and the first day of Qurbon Hayit, whose dates follow the ISLAMIC LUNAR calendar and are fixed by official determination rather than by any formula, so they cannot be computed. Compounding that, art. 208 itself authorises the President to transfer weekends, and Uzbekistan issues a decree each December that shifts dates and creates bridge days for the following year (the 2026 instrument was Decree UP-257 of 24 December 2025, which set Ramazon Hayit at 20 March 2026 and added two extra non-working days around Qurbon Hayit). Two of the seven fixed 2027 dates - Navruz on 21 March and 9 May - fall on SUNDAYS, which is precisely the situation that decree exists to resolve. Serving any 2027 Uzbek working-day answer before the decree is published would therefore be a guess on both the Eids and the weekend transfers, so 2027 is refused free until it appears, expected late December 2026.
