Uzbekistan minimum wage
The single national statutory monthly minimum wage. Not set by a wage board and not set in the budget law: it is fixed by PRESIDENTIAL DECREE (Указ Президента Республики Узбекистан), revised roughly annually in the same instrument that raises public-sector pay, pensions, stipends and allowances. There are no regional, sectoral or occupational variants.

What this value means
BHM / БРВ IS THE LOOKALIKE — DO NOT SUBSTITUTE IT. Uzbekistan runs TWO separate statutory reference amounts and they move together in the same decree, which is exactly why they get confused. (1) Минимальный размер оплаты труда (МРОТ, eng kam ish haqi) — 1,271,000 UZS/month — is the wage floor: it is the minimum an employer may pay for a full month's normal work, and it is what this series serves. (2) Базовая расчетная величина (БРВ, bazaviy hisoblash miqdori — BHM) — 412,000 UZS — is NOT a wage at all: it is the indexation unit in which statutory thresholds are denominated (tax and duty amounts, administrative fines, state-service fees, licence and patent prices, charter-capital minima, the fixed social tax due for an individual entrepreneur, and so on). BHM is roughly one third of the minimum wage, so quoting it as a wage understates the floor by ~68%. A figure near 400–450k UZS in an Uzbek statute is almost always BHM, not the minimum wage. A THIRD lookalike in the same decree is the «базовая величина для исчисления пенсий» (471,000 UZS from 1 July 2025, 504,000 from 1 July 2026) — a pension-calculation base, also not a wage. INCREASE ALREADY LEGISLATED BUT NOT YET IN FORCE — DO NOT SERVE EARLY: Указ Президента от 23 июня 2026 года № УП-115 «О повышении размеров заработной платы, пенсий, стипендий и пособий» (https://lex.uz/ru/docs/8283680) raises the minimum wage to 1,360,000 UZS and BHM to 440,000 UZS with effect from 1 SEPTEMBER 2026, while pensions and allowances rose 7% from 1 July 2026 (minimum old-age pension 983,000 UZS; pension base 504,000 UZS). As at 24 July 2026 the operative figure is still 1,271,000 UZS; flip to 1,360,000 on 2026-09-01. The two-stage structure (pensions from 1 July, wages from a later date) repeats every year, so a source-watcher must read the decree's commencement dates and not assume the whole decree bites at once. The government portal maintains a maintained table of МРОТ values with the decree behind each: https://gov.uz/ru/advice/673/document/2934.
