Türkiye minimum wage
Türkiye has a single NATIONAL minimum wage with no regional, sectoral or age variation. It is fixed by the tripartite Asgari Ücret Tespit Komisyonu (Minimum Wage Determination Commission) under Article 39 of İş Kanunu No. 4857 and the Asgari Ücret Yönetmeliği; the Commission's karar is published in the Resmî Gazete and the Ministry of Labour and Social Security (Çalışma ve Sosyal Güvenlik Bakanlığı) publishes the derived net figure and employer cost. The statutory figure is a DAILY gross rate; the monthly figure is that daily rate × 30.

What this value means
IN FORCE NOW (checked 24 Jul 2026): gross 33.030,00 TRY/month, NET 28.075,50 TRY/month, daily gross 1.101,00 TRY. Announced 23 Dec 2025 by Minister Vedat Işıkhan; +27.01% on the 2025 figures (gross 26.005,50 / net 22.104,67). Net build-up per the ÇSGB sheet: gross 33.030,00 − SGK employee premium 14% (4.624,20) − unemployment insurance 1% (330,30) = deductions 4.954,50 → net 28.075,50. Minimum-wage earners pay NO income tax and NO stamp duty on the minimum-wage portion (the gelir vergisi/damga vergisi istisnası introduced in 2022 and still in force), which is why net is not reduced further. Employer total cost 40.214,03 TRY/month at the standard 5510 s.K. 2-point SGK discount for non-manufacturing employers (39.223,13 TRY with the 5-point manufacturing discount; 40.874,63 TRY with no discount). The state's asgari ücret desteği to employers is 1.270 TRY/month for 2026 (up from 1.000 TRY in 2025). MID-YEAR REVISION RISK: Türkiye has revised the minimum wage TWICE in a single year before (July 2022, July 2023) when inflation ran ahead of the December fixing, which is why update_cycle_days is 200 rather than 365. As of 24 Jul 2026 NO ara zam (interim increase) has been made — the Commission has not been reconvened and the government has said no interim-increase work is under way — so the 1 Jan 2026 figure stands; the next ordinary fixing is expected in late December 2026 for 2027. DO NOT CONFUSE with the KKTC (Northern Cyprus) minimum wage, which is set by a separate commission and is a much larger nominal figure — Turkish-language searches for 'asgari ücret komisyonu' return KKTC results that will corrupt this series. ACCESS NOTE: the Resmî Gazete PDF of the Commission decision (https://www.resmigazete.gov.tr/eskiler/2025/12/20251226-6.pdf) is an IMAGE-ONLY scan with no text layer, and there is no .htm version; the machine-readable official source is therefore the ÇSGB calculation sheet cited above.
