What this value means

MATRIX JURISDICTION — served value is the LOWEST general statutory floor, not a national rate. For 2026 the floor is West Java (Jawa Barat) at IDR 2,317,601/month, set by Kepgub 561/Kep.859-Kesra/2025 in late December 2025, up 5.77% (+IDR 126,363) from West Java's 2025 UMP of IDR 2,191,238 (2,317,601 - 2,191,238 = 126,363 exactly). This undercuts Central Java, the perennial lowest through 2025, whose 2026 UMP is IDR 2,327,386.07 (Keputusan Gubernur Jawa Tengah No. 100.3.3.1/504 Tahun 2025, +7.28% / +IDR 158,037.07, computed with provincial inflation 2.65%, GDP growth 5.15% and alpha 0.90) — a gap of only IDR 9,785. The ranking FLIPPED for 2026, so do not assume province identity is stable. The ceiling is DKI Jakarta at approximately IDR 5.7 million/month, i.e. a ~2.5x national spread. GOVERNING LAW CHANGED FOR 2026: minimum wages for 2026 were set under PP No. 49 Tahun 2025, signed by President Prabowo Subianto on 17 December 2025 and in force from promulgation the same day. It is the SECOND amendment to PP No. 36 Tahun 2021 and supersedes the PP No. 51 Tahun 2023 parameters used for 2024-2025. PP 49/2025 keeps the formula UM(n+1) = UM(n) + [inflation + (GDP growth x alpha)] x UM(n) but widens the labour-contribution index alpha from 0.10-0.30 to 0.50-0.90, and reinstates MANDATORY provincial sectoral minimum wages (UMSP) under new Pasal 35A. This regulation is the government's response to Constitutional Court (Mahkamah Konstitusi) Decision No. 168/PUU-XXI/2023 on the Job Creation (Omnibus) Law. Average national UMP increase for 2026 was in the 5-8% range, with provincial announcements clustered from late November to late December 2025. STRUCTURE: UMP is a floor for the province; district/city UMK, where set, must exceed the UMP and can be far higher (some West Java kabupaten UMK approach IDR 6 million, above Jakarta's UMP); sectoral minimums (UMSP/UMSK) can be higher again. The minimum applies to workers with under 12 months' service and is a MONTHLY figure premised on a standard 7-hour/40-hour or 8-hour/40-hour week under UU No. 13 Tahun 2003 as amended. Any API consumer needing an accurate figure for a specific worker must resolve province AND district AND sector — the served value is only the national statutory floor. Note that although Indonesia formally has 38 provinces, several media compilations list only 36 UMP figures because the newest Papuan provinces did not publish separate decrees. All governors' decrees are individually published Bahasa Indonesia documents; there is no single consolidated official federal table, which is why the PP is cited as the deep official URL.
