Israel minimum wage
Israel's single national statutory minimum wage under the Minimum Wage Law, 5747-1987 (חוק שכר מינימום, התשמ"ז-1987). There are no regional or occupational tiers in the national floor; the law fixes a monthly amount for monthly-paid employees, with derived hourly and daily equivalents, and it is uprated with effect from 1 April, signed off by the Minister of Labour, with the operative amounts published by the National Insurance Institute (המוסד לביטוח לאומי).

What this value means
Rise of ILS 196.18 (+3.14%) over the ILS 6,247.67 that applied from 1 April 2025. TWO HOURLY RATES ARE PUBLISHED, and which one binds depends on the contractual monthly hours: the statutory monthly minimum divided by 186 gives ILS 34.64, divided by 182 gives ILS 35.40. Since the standard full-time month in Israel is 182 hours, ILS 35.40 is the figure normally quoted as 'the' hourly minimum — do not serve 34.64 as the headline hourly rate without the 186-hour qualifier. Daily rates are the monthly amount divided by 21⅔ (five-day week) or by 25 (six-day week). Uprating cadence: recent increases have all taken effect on 1 April (2023, 2024, 2025, 2026), which is the date the Minimum Wage Law works to; the ~200-day cycle reflects that plus the risk of a mid-cycle legislated step. Youth, apprentices and certain workers with disabilities are on statutorily reduced proportions not modelled here; separate, HIGHER sectoral minima are set by extension orders for e.g. cleaning and security workers and are also not modelled. SOURCE CAVEAT: the ENGLISH version of the NII page (btl.gov.il/English Homepage/Mediniyut/GeneralInformation/Pages/MinimumWage.aspx) carries the correct current figures in its header but its historical table is stale — it jumps from 1.4.2024 straight to the current line and omits the 2025 and 2026 rows. The Hebrew page cited above carries the complete table and is the one to watch.
