The national CPI is produced by the FCSC but is released with a lag, so as of confirmation (24 Jul 2026) December 2025 is the most recent NATIONAL headline verifiable from an official source — the CBUAE's June 2026 Quarterly Economic Review, an official central-bank publication that reports the FCSC national figure. TRAP — do not confuse the national figure with the more current EMIRATE-level series, which diverge sharply: the same CBUAE QER reports Dubai (DSC) inflation averaging ~3.7% Y-o-Y in Jan-Apr 2026 (driven by housing +7.4%) and Abu Dhabi (SCAD) ~1.4% Y-o-Y in Jan-Feb 2026, so quoting either emirate as 'the UAE rate' is wrong. The CBUAE forecasts full-year 2026 UAE inflation at 2.3% and 2027 at 1.9%.
