What this value means
Full 2026 schedule (tax base per fiscal year): up to KRW 200m — 10%; over 200m to 20bn — 20%; over 20bn to 300bn — 22%; over 300bn — 25%. The December 2025 reform (passed by the National Assembly 2025-12-02 as a budget-accompanying bill, promulgated 2025-12-23 as Act No. 21217) raised every bracket by 1pp from the 2023-2025 schedule (9/19/21/24%), reversing the 2022 cut. Local income tax (지방소득세) equal to 10% of the CIT rates applies on top, giving a combined top rate of 27.5% (EY Global Tax Alert 'Korea enacts 2026 tax reform bill', 2026-01-26, cross-check). Special co-operative corporations (조합법인) pay 9%/15% under Restriction of Special Taxation Act Art. 72.
